Little Black Dress by Susie Maguire

Every woman knows what a little black dress is for - seduction, mourning, revenge, celebration, perhaps even murder. It can be a sign of belonging or a sign of individuality, a way to hide or a way to stand out. Originally broadcast on BBC Radio Four, these stories have been tailored by Susie Maguire into an elegant, simply stunning little collection.
Susie Maguire used to do stand-up, sing a capella, and present TV programmes. She has performed on stage, radio, film and TV, and is currently a book columnist for The Herald. Susie's first collection published by Polygon, The Short Hello, was read on Radio Four and her second collection Furthermore was published by Polygon in 2005. Susie was also contributing editor to Scottish Love Stories (Polygon 2005), Hoots! (Polygon 2007) and Something Wicked, Something New (Polygon 2005)
