The Little Book of Plants for Pollinators by Maureen Little
An illustrated book with information about pollinators' needs and which garden plants are attractive to them.
Maureen Little has been growing plants, on and off, throughout her life. There have been periods when she strayed from the horticultural path to pursue activities like serving in the Women's Royal Naval Service, bringing up a family, lecturing in English Literature at University, and generally trying to keep out of mischief. She started, though, knee-high to a grasshopper (or should it be bumblebee), helping her Dad in his market garden in Sussex. Later in her career - after becoming a professional garden designer and writing five books on gardening - she found herself owning and running her own nursery and plant centre specialising in pollinator-friendly plants. She is now semi-retired but her enthusiasm for spreading the word about pollinators, and the vital role they play, is undiminished. This has led to the publication of this, her sixth book, The Little Book of Plants for Pollinators: A Gardener's Guide.
