Little Cliff's First Day of School by Clifton L Taulbert

The 32nd Review of Progress in Quantitative NDE (nondestructive evaluation) was held in July and August of 2005 at Bowdoin College in Maine. In this two-volume set, the editors (both of the Iowa State University Center for Nondestructive Evaluation) present just over 250 of the papers from the conference, including a number from the student poster

During the legal segregation era, Clifton Taulbert went to school in the Mississippi Delta. He feels he would have failed if not for the network of selfless adults that surround him. Their presence inspired him to write his first novel, Once Upon A Time When We Were Colored, which was included in the United States' present to Nelson Mandela upon his release from jail and later adapted into a highly acclaimed film. Taulbert went on to write a dozen more works, including The Last Train North, which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, and the award-winning Eight Habits of the Heart. Taulbert is the founder and president of the Building Community Institute, as well as the president and CEO of Roots Java Coffee. He has trained people all over the world, from NATO in Brussels to political organizations in Central America to Fortune 500 companies and academic institutions across the United States.
