Little Destiny by Robert Jones
The town of Belaphone is a depressing little town in Leon County, upper Michigan. Half abandoned and neglected, it has only two things going for it. One is a women's prison and the second is a shelter for abandoned and neglected kids in the western side of the Upper Peninsula, bring in much needed Federal Dollars.
But the Town is turned upside-down a few days before Christmas when a newborn girl is found in Grisham's Correctional. The baby is sent to Belaphone Home, she comes into contact with Amos, a Muslim American working as a social worker at the home. The two bond, but the as Amos tries to find out where she comes from, the more mysterious events come up, as something seems to be haunting the child, and strange events happen around her.
Meanwhile, Pastor Anthony Dean finds out about the child and believes that she is a miracle and is determined to take the child away from Amos, even at the cost of his soul.
This is just one of seven books I've written about the Civil War. They're about topics that are relevant and intriguing to me. Since my initial visit many years ago, Gettysburg has always been one of my favorite themes. I talk about the artifacts, the fight, souvenirs, and just about anything else related to Gettysburg while exhibiting hundreds of rare photos. Gettysburg was the subject of a children's book that I wrote. Canteens and artillery were two of my many Civil War interests, so I wrote volumes about them, complete with hundreds of images.
