Little Man is a children's book for young boys of color. African American children, especially boys, are sometimes viewed as a threat or less than. Little Man goes against that narrative. The goal of this book is to celebrate boys of color, so they grow up realizing their uniqueness is what makes them beautiful.
Smallwood, Brian Anthony: - Brian A. Smallwood is 29-year-old from Fort Smith, Arkansas. He started his career as a journalist working in television in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Smallwood has always had a passion for books. His young niece inspired him to start writing children's books. His focus is to uplift children of color and share stories of how special they really are.
