Dad says there’s a baby coming but I’m not happy. I don’t think babies are cute - especially not little sisters... With everyone else delighted by the new addition to the family, will big brother find a way to get rid of his new baby sister or will he see that she’s not really as bad as he thinks?
Originally from Bluff, New Zealand, Samaria Rose Lemke is a new children’s author now based in the beautiful Torres Strait. As a wife and mother of two amazing little humans, she never finds herself short of quirky inspiration or bizarre questions that demand to be answered! Samaria’s stories are relatable, heartfelt and sure to bring a giggle to story-time. Ruth-Mary Smith is an Australian illustrator with a special love of the gentle emotions portrayed in picture books. Her style has been described as sweet, warm and whimsical. Her favourite traditional mediums are pastel, watercolour and pencil, but she also produces digital illustrations. She has been published in the USA, been the recipient of a mentorship award from the Australian Society of Authors and was thrilled to win an award in the CYA festival during 2020.
