Little Topic Book of Water by Elizabeth Hill
A little book packed full of activities and plans for a series of sessions on water - its properties, life cycle and uses. Playing with water and finding out about the different forms it can take is an essential part of children's understanding of the world around them.
I would highly recommend this book - it is full of great ideas and activities and is original and highly diverse-- Julia Jones * Practical Pre School *
With experience across the primary phase, particularly birth to five age range, Elizabeth spent many years teaching in reception. Eight years of her teaching career were between two schools the later of which led to her successful appointment as one of the Counties 'Leading Foundation Stage Practitioners' (LFSPs) alongside her role as Early Years Leader within school. In the role of LFSP she supported and guided other settings and practitioners in developing best practice and presented at conferences across the local county. She is currently an Early Years advisory teacher who is passionate about providing best opportunities for our youngest children and thoroughly enjoys sharing and developing best practice.
Elizabeth has written articles for 'Early Years Update' and as a culmination of her MA research she is currently completing a dissertation on outdoor play. The role of Leading Foundation Stage Practitioner for my county led to my current position as Early Years Advisory Teacher.
