John Phalen has had a diversified career as an Episcopal priest and organizer/provider of human services. He has a Master of Divinity from Berkeley, Yale Divinity School and a Doctor of the Science of Theology from San Francisco Theological Seminary (Berkeley Theological Union). He served as an Air Force Chaplain and organized a major refugee resettlement program, then an English language/vocational school for refugees. He conducts workshops on meditation and spirituality. He is a published poet and produced playwright. Presently he is developing educational programs in Cambodia and an interfaith organization, Global Spirit 21, to facilitate Sprit engaged care of the earth and it people in the emerging Global Era.
