He has served in various administrative and supervisory positions in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System as well as in colleges and universities within North Carolina. Dr. Turner is a proud alumnus of Johnson C. Smith University where he obtained his BS degree, and he holds a Masters of Education in Counseling and School Leadership from UNC-Charlotte. Additionally, Dr. Turner holds an Ed.S. Degree from Winthrop University and the Doctorate of Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Dr. Turner has held numerous principalships during his tenure with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and has been the recipient of several awards reflecting his skilled administrative leadership. Dr. Turner is a well-respected facilitator, known for his candor, compassion, and skillful ability to motivate those charged with preparing children for future success.
