For many years Michael Middleditch was chief cartographer at Geographia. He created the Mapguides specially for Penguin, and there are three highly successful titles in the series: New York, Paris and London. He died on Christmas Day 2012, shortly after completing this eighth edition of his famous London Mapguide.
