Dr. James B. is a neurologist who specializes In 1972, Richards accepted Christ and accepted the call to ministry. He took to the streets of Huntsville, Alabama, after a profound conversion and a desire to aid hurting people. His mission to reach youths and drug addicts swiftly blossomed into a house church, which eventually led to the formation of Impact Ministries. Jim has undergone certified training as a detox specialist and drug counselor, as well as a trainer for the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA), and holds doctorates in theology, human psychology, and alternative medicine, as well as an honorary doctorate in world evangelism.

People are strengthened, instructed, and challenged to greater levels of victory, power, and service as a result of his tough yet optimistic approach to the Gospel. Jim's significant experience working with substance misuse, codependency, and other social/emotional disorders has led him to pioneer practical, creative, Bible-based ministry ways that suit today's needs. Most essential, Jim believes that humans must experience God's unconditional love in order to be fully complete. His messages are straightforward, practical, and impactful.

His mission is to modify people's perceptions of God so that they might have a connection with Him via Jesus. Jim has six grown daughters and fourteen grandchildren with his wife, Brenda. They are still based in Huntsville, Alabama.
