Lost Arts by Lynn Alley

LYNN ALLEY is a food and wine journalist who focuses on traditional cuisines and cooking skills from throughout the world. She is the author of The Gourmet Slow Cooker, The Gourmet Slow Cooker: Volume II, The Gourmet Toaster Oven, and Forgotten Arts: A Celebration of Culinary Traditions, and has written pieces for the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Diego Union Tribune, Fine Cooking, Cook's Illustrated, The Herb Companion, Natural Home, and Organic Style, among others. Alley has also given cooking classes across the western US. She lives in the city of San Diego, California.
