Alexandra Pratt is a freelance journalist and author of three books on the history and landscape of Cornwall, England. In September 2002, HarperCollins Canada published her fourth book. Entitled 'Lost Lands, Forgotten Stories - A Woman's Journey To The Heart Of Labrador', it is a travel book based on her canoe expedition to Labrador in 2000. Alexandra specialises in writing on travel, architecture, heritage issues and food and drink for magazines in the UK and North America. Previously a researcher and writer for the Rough Guides series of travel books, Alexandra is now based in Cornwall, where she writes, lectures and runs her own photographic library.
