Lost Railways of Warwickshire by Geoffrey Kingscott

Steam arrived and more and more lines were built. Rugby became Britiain's first major railway junction providing the Midlands and the North of England with access to London. As Rugby grew into a major interchange its station had to be re-sited and extended. The opening of Rugby's third and final station was celebrated in style on 3rd July 1885. There was a dance for 2,000 people on the platforms and music was provided by the Steam Shed Band. In this well researched book Geoffrey Kingscott brings to life the lost railways of Warwickshire, and with modern photographs and those from earlier times, describes the reasons for their construction and for their closure.
