Love My Jazz by Giuseppe Pino

In Love My Jazz, Giuseppe Pino presents portraits of all the great names from the international jazz scene since the 1960s. Fascinating pictures of Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker, Count Basie, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Chick Corea, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Bill Evans, Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, Keith Jarrett, Oscar Peterson, Nina Simone, and Joe Zawinul document three generations of jazz musicians. Music CDs: Legendary recordings of many of the depicted jazz greats, such as Miles Davis's My Funny Valentine, Bill Evans's Spring Is Here, and Ella Fitzgerald's Night and Day.
Giuseppe Pino is Milanese, with roots in Sicily, Switzerland, and France. In spite of his reputation in the photography world, his exhibitions and books are so few and far between: the wider audience knows him only as a refined portraitist and an extraordinary observer of the jazz universe. But in four decades he has kept his style intact while working in different genres: nudes, fashion, advertising, corporate image, including A.D. A recurring feature in his images, portraits, or otherwise is irony, together with naturalness (not much), lots of surrealism, and today, even a bit of sarcasm.
