Lucas in Birmingham by Gordon Bunce
A social history of Lucas, one of Birmingham's largest employers until its closure in 1989. At its peak Lucas employed 28,000 people on a number of sites throughout the city. Following a series of takeovers Lucas is now part of a large multinational company, TRW Inc.
Gordan Bunce worked for Lucas for 35 years and collected company memorabilia for most of that time. He has the only known collection of Lucas photographs.
