Ludlow in 1960 by David Trumper

Ludlow is a fine old town with over 900 years of history. We can still see much of its historic character today in the magnificent castle and church and in the wide variety of architecture of its beautiful buildings. This book looks at the town as it was at the beginning of the 1960s.
DAVID TRUMPER was born in Shrewsbury and grew up in the town. He taught at several schools in Shropshire before his retirement in 2000. He has always had an interest in local history and photography, and has collected over 20,000 views of Shrewsbury and Shropshire, dating from 1842 up until the present day. He has had twenty-two books published, as well as his work for local papers and magazines. David is well known in Shropshire’s historical circles, leading talks and historical walks in the area throughout the year. He has been married to his wife Wendy for over forty years, and has a daughter and two grandchildren.
