Lynch on Lynch by Chris Rodley

Lynch's distinguished career includes such films as The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Lost Highway, and the seminal TV series Twin Peaks. Here, Lynch speaks openly about the full breadth of his creative work, which encompasses not only movies but also a lifelong commitment to painting, a continuing exploration of photography, extensive work in television, and musical collaborations with composer Angelo Badalamenti and singer Julee Cruise.
Lynch, David: - David Keith Lynch (born January 20, 1946) is an American filmmaker, painter, musician, actor, and photographer. He has been described by The Guardian as the most important director of this era, [1] while AllMovie called him the Renaissance man of modern American filmmaking.[2] His films Blue Velvet (1986) and Mulholland Drive (2001) are widely considered by critics to be among the greatest films of their respective decades, [3][4] while the success of his 1990-91 television series Twin Peaks led to his being labeled the first popular Surrealist by film critic Pauline Kael.[5] He has received three Academy Award nominations[6] for Best Director, and has won France's César Award for Best Foreign Film twice, as well as the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival[7] and a Golden Lion award for lifetime achievement at the Venice Film Festival.
