Magic Stones by Jan Pohribny
'Magic Stones' documents our ancestors' obsession with stone. Throughout Europe stone has been used to create dwellings for the living and the dead, as a canvas for our early art, to celebrate the heavens and in ways that are, even today, beyond our understanding.
Jan Pohribny is a photographer-artist who also works in the fields of design and illustration photography. He teaches at the Institute of Creative Photography at the Silesian University in Opava, Czech Republic. Julian Richards is an archaeologist, writer and broadcaster with a great interest in Stonehenge and associated sites throughout Europe.
