Kim Krisco founded Transition Technologies in 1991) to focus on leadership development, business communication, coaching and team development programs. In recent years he has focused on sabbatical and work-life balance programs for leaders and their spouses and now focuses on ways to leverage the discipline of coaching as a tool for accelerating human consciousness. He is also using transcendental poetry with clients as a vehicle for inner exploration. Transition Technologies develops and delivers customized organizational and personal transformation programs that use coaching as a key component. Kim's approach to is based upon the belief that our personal power is a product of our in-the-moment awareness that is reflected within our interactions with ourself and others. By being embedded in an awareness of what is happening inside and around us, and how we speak, listen and interact, we can naturally and easily improve our effectiveness and the quality of our experience. More importantly, this approach ensures that the outcomes from our thoughts, actions and interactions serve both the individual and the greater good. Krisco's diverse career has helped prepare him for his new focus. He has taught college; managed instructional media and distance learning programs, written and directed TV and films; and served in corporate communications, HR and training functions. He is currently being educated by Nature and his work is more and more focused on serving non-profits. Krisco has worked with both for-profit and nonprofit organizations from NASA to Merck. His most recent clientele includes AARP, the Lakota Nation, FDIC, YMCA, United Methodist Church, and the Mt. Carmel Health Wellness and Community Center. In addition to this book, Kim has written and published Leadership & the Art of Conversation, Leadership Your Way: Play the Hand You're Dealt and Win, and Aikido Leadership. After Talking to Trees, Kim will focus on poetry. With their own hands (and a lot of help), Kim and his wife Sara Ferguson built a straw-bale home and coaching center in south-central Colorado. The decade long process of building this center - along with what it taught Kim about coaching -- is shared in this book. They are now moving on deeper into Nature to create (as much as possible) a self-sufficient lifestyle. Kim holds graduate and undergraduate degrees and is in the process of sorting through this education for useful bits. His website is: www.kimkrisco.com.
