Make Me Your Own by Tosha Silver
This book analyses the critical factors in the mergers of Jaguar-Ford, Rover-BMW and Land Rover-Ford. Based on extensive interviews with many of the key individuals involved in these mergers, together with analysis of much of the commentary, both contemporaneous and after the event, his conclusions on the critical success factors, both pre- and post-merger, make fascinating reading. This is a book I enjoyed reading, not just for its review of events in an industry where I worked for nearly 39 years, but also for the fact that it provides a framework for critically examining major events happening in that industry today. (Sir Nick Scheele, former president and chief operating officer of Ford Motor Company, former chief executive of Jaguar and former chancellor of Warwick University)
