Stuart Hollingdale assumes on the part of the reader no mathematical knowledge beyond GCSE level.Stuart Hollingdale was a Professor of Computer Science and Director of the University of Birmingham's computer lab when he died. Following his retirement in 1974, he became involved in the United Kingdom's groundbreaking Open University program.
