Making Holy Dreams Come True by Garth Hewitt
This is an imaginatively illustrated book of seasonal prayers, daily prayers and prayers for special occasions relating particularly to the work of the Amos Trust, which has projects in four parts of the world: in South Africa with street children; in Nicaragua with education among poor communities; in Israel/Palestine supporting peace and reconciliation projects, and in India working with a Dalit community (those formerly called untouchable). The book will reflect a spirituality not unlike the prayers in "The Road Home", and will aim to help people think through how they live and how they talk to God regarding everyday issues.
THE REVD GARTH HEWITT is Guild Vicar of All Hallows on the Wall in London, founder and director of Amos Trust, which works to encourage oppressed people living in forgotten situations such as Palestine-Israel. Well-known as a singer/songwriter, his music has increasingly picked up the themes of justice, reconciliation and the healing wholeness of the gospel. He has released around 30 albums and is the author of The Road Home and Towards the Dawn. WILF WHITTY works as a graphic designer for clients in the arts and not-for-profit organisations. He was born in Belfast, raised in London and Devon, and now lives in Bristol with his wife Angie and their daughter Orla May.
