Michael Shattock is a Visiting Professor in the Centre for Higher Education Studies at the Institute of Education, University of London, UK. He has published widely in higher education including The UGC and the Management of British Universities (1994) and The Creation of a University System (Ed) (1996). His most recent books are Managing Good Governance in Higher Education (2006), Entrepreneurialism in Universities and the Knowledge Economy (2009) and Managing Successful Universities (2010 2nd edition).
