Elaine Hammond, a quilter for more than twenty years, jointly started Patchwork & Quilting magazine in 1985, which was responsible for launching Quilts UK, now one of the largest quilt shows in the world. Elaine's first book, The Absolute Beginner's Guide to Patchwork, Quilting and Applique was published in 1997. Elaine lives in Malvern Link, Worcestershire.
