Conda, an award-winning author, grew up in Sun Valley, Idaho, a ski resort. Authors, artists, and other creative people surrounded her throughout her life. Goats in the kitchen, buffalo bones in the living room, and boulders in the shower were all part of her childhood. Her life is now occupied by her cat and puppy, as well as her long-term boyfriend and writing. Conda is the author of the well-known tween fantasy Mall Fairies series.

The sparrows that reside at the Boise Towne Square Mall in Boise, Idaho provided the fairy idea for her Mall Fairies. Conda is working on The Mall Fairies: Destiny, the final installment in the Mall Fairy trilogy, when she isn't rescuing fairies from humans, cats, and herself.
