Perry later hides the click-clack shoes . . . and all of Mama's shoes, just in case. She is an adjunct professor and the coordinator for The New School Writing for Children/YA MFA program. Caron lives in New York City. Vanessa Brantley-Newton is the illustrator of many books for young readers, including Mary Had a Little Glam. She lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her family.
