Frankl was an Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist, as well as a Holocaust survivor, who lived from 1905 to 1997. Logotherapy and existential analysis were both founded by him. He wrote over thirty books, lectured and led seminars all over the world, and was awarded twenty-nine honorary doctorates.
