Her research and teaching interests are in evidence synthesis, evidence utilisation, primary care nursing and the management of long-term conditions, particularly diabetes. She is an active member and Director of the Wales Centre for Evidence-Based Care, a collaborating centre of the Joanna Briggs Institute, Adelaide, Australia.
