Marc Quinn by Victoria Pomery
Marc Quinn produces a diverse range of work, using a selection of different media including painting, sculpture, drawing and photography. Much of his work is preoccupied with the changing physical states of the human body; increasingly it addresses ideas around mortality and survival in the age of genetic manipulation. This publication coincides with an exhibition at the Tate Liverpool and presents a large body of new work. Essays reflect on Quinn's diversity of practice and his working methods; his clean and controlled installed pieces are the result of an amalgam of references explored in an untidy studio.
