Marianne Dreams premiered at the Almeida Theatre, London, in December 2007.
Moira Buffini is one of the UK's leading scriptwriters. She has written acclaimed TV, films and plays, including The Dig (Bafta-nominated), Harlots, Jane Eyre, Tamara Drewe, Dinner and Handbagged. She co-chairs the board of trustees of Tonic, a charity which supports equality, diversity and inclusion across the performing arts . She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and the Royal Society of Arts. Songlight is her debut novel. Moira lives in London. Catherine Storr was born in London in 1913. She practised medicine for fifteen years, but never forgot her ambition to be a writer. She wrote her first children's books for her three daughters and many became classics. Marianne Dreams was also made into a film, The Paper House, in 1990. She died in 2001.
