Karen Slocombe isn't sure why she visited the supermarket that day - as a committed member of Food Chain Group and a regular stall holder at local farmers' markets, SupaFare is a place she would normally avoid. Luckily for Karen, she leaves moments before a bomb explodes, destroying the front of the store. Only a few days later, whilst manning her stall at Bradbourne Farmer's Market, Karen finds herself in the midst of another horrific crime. Peter Grafton, a fellow stallholder, is murdered in front of her - shot through the neck with a cross bow bolt. Rebecca Tope has led a varied career working as an ante-natal teacher, a Relate counsellor and an assistant funeral director. She currently lives on a smallholding in rural Herefordshire where she works as a milk recorder for local dairy farms. She is the author of six previous crime novels.
