When David Jenkins retired as Bishop of Durham, he immersed himself in the study of economics. The result is this book that is a devastating demolition job of the free market ideology. Before becoming Bishop of Durham, David Jenkins was Professor of Theology at the University of Leeds. Previous posts include fifteen years as Fellow and Chaplain of Queen's College, Oxford and five years with the World Council of Churches in Geneva.
