The first British graduate of William and Mary College, Morpungo enjoyed a notable career in publishing at Penguin, and he later became Director of the National Book League. Provided are sketches of life in India and the Western desert and a glimpse into the world of publishing.
Charles Lamb was an English essayist best known for Essays of Elia and the children's book Tales from Shakespeare. J. E. Morpurgo was a professor of English at the University of Leeds.
