Verna Cook Salomonsky (1890-1978) was one of the first prominent women architects in the United States. She studied at Columbia University's School of Architecture and at the ü¾Ž–Œ¼cole Spü¾Ž–”¼ciale d'Architecture in Paris. In the 1920s and '30s she designed hundreds of houses in the suburbs of New York City and elsewhere.
