Mumau, Thad: - Thad Mumau is a baseball lover, not simply a fan. His favorite sports memory is covering the 1974 game in which Henry Aaron hit home run No. 715, breaking Babe Ruth's record. Thad has written eight books prior to The Baseball Player, including the first biography ever done on Hall of Fame college basketball coach Dean Smith. He recently wrote Maz to Yaz to Amazin', a chronicle of major league baseball in the 1960s, baseball's greatest decade. Thad adores dogs, chocolate, and everything cooked by his lovely wife, Dahlia. They have two grown daughters.
