Mechanical Engineering Science by J Hannah

This second edition provides a text for the student engineer. Symbols and nomenclature have been updated and additional material has been included on prime movers, simple navigational problems, and the basic mechanics of aircraft, rockets and satellite motion. Written throughout in SI units, it keeps formulae to a minimum and worked examples illustrate the application of basic principles. It is designed for students on BTEC National Certificate and Diploma courses in engineering, motor vehicle work and science. It should also be useful for those undertaking related City and Guilds courses.
Brian Hillier is a graduate of Leeds University and the University of Guelph, Ontario. He is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Liverpool. He has also taught at the universities of Durham, York, and Trent, Ontario, and at Sunderland Polytechnic, and worked in the UK Government Economic Service.
