Memories of Ayrton by Christopher Hilton
This deepy personal, illustrated volume draws together the memories of those who knew and loved Ayrton Senna, telling in their own words why he was so special to them, as a driver, as a man, as a colleague, as a friend and as a hero. Christopher Hilton, author of previous sensitive studies of Senna, asked a host of people inside and outside of motorsport for their strongest memory of him. The answers were touching and surprising.
'Hilton has sought out everyone and anyone who had an involvement in Senna's career' Motor Sport 'a very welcome retrospective' Daily Express 'A great, if upsetting and disturbing, book' Octane
Christopher Hilton wrote the first biography of Senna, The Hard Edge of Genius. The Second Coming appeared a week before his death. He chronicled each of Senna's 235 single-seater races in His Full Car Racing Record, and reflected on the continuing global impact of his death in The Legend Grows and As Time Goes By. Hilton lives in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.
