Menopause by Ruth Trickey
Hot flushes, erratic periods, and a heap of questions about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT); osteoporosis and what are those things called, phyto-oestrogens? This is intended as a "one-stop shop" for everything you need to know about the menopause. It is extracted and updated from the women's health book "Women's Trouble", by Kaz Cooke and herbalist Ruth Trickey, with new stuff on how to protect your bones, and how to guard against common midlife cancers. A sensible, comprehensive and fun explanation of all your self-care, natural therapies and medical options during menopause.
RUTH TRICKEY has been a trained midwife, natural therapist and herbalist for more than fifteen years. Her Melbourne clinic has evolved into a multi-disciplinary centre with eight practitioners. Ruth now shares her extensive practical knowledge by teaching students at the Southern School of Natural Therapies and lecturing practitioners throughout Australia and New Zealand. KAZ COOKE is a cartoonist and writer. Her books include Real Gorgeous, The Crocodile Club, the Modern Girl series starring Hermoine, Get a Grip and Up the Duff as well as her very successful little books. She has had period pain, PMS, feral hormones, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, herbs, drugs, and surgery. Currently she is having a good lie down.
