Michael Burge is an Australian writer and journalist who was born in Inverell, New England, in the state of New South Wales. He grew raised in the Blue Mountains, spent most of the 1990s in England, and now lives with his husband and two dogs on Coochiemudlo Island in Queensland's Moreton Bay.
