J.Alec Motyer was a well-known Old Testament preacher and scholar who lived from 1924 until 2016. He was the principal of Trinity College in Bristol, England, and a well-known Biblical expositor, with vast experience in parish ministry. He was the Old Testament editor of The Bible Speaks Today commentary series, and his writings include The Prophecy of Isaiah.
