Chrissy Osborne was born and educated in England. She developed an interest in Ireland from an early age, as her father was from West Cork and she spent many holidays there during her childhood. In 2000, she accepted a job in Dail Eireann and is now permanently resident in Ireland. Her first book was the highly successful Michael Collins: Himself, published by Mercier Press in 2005.
