The Middling Sort of People by Jonathan Barry
This volume of essays seeks to offer a radical re-evaluation of most of our preconceptions about the early-modern English social order. The majority of people who lived in early-modern England were neither very rich nor very poor, yet a disproportionate amount of historiography has been directed towards precisely these groups. This book intends to define the term 'middle classes' and treat them as active participants of history, rather than as a simple by-product rising and falling according to others' activities.Christopher W. was born in the United States. Brooks is a pastor, prominent radio host, and apologetics speaker. He is the Dean of Moody Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Michigan. Brooks is a Kern Fellow of the Acton Institute and serves in the Urban Outreach of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, with a master's degree in Christian apologetics and philosophy from Biola University and graduate studies at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics at Oxford University. He has led international leadership training in twelve countries and hosts the Monday through Friday drive-time radio program Prepared for Life in the greater Detroit area, where he speaks on Christian faith practical themes. He is also the founder of the Detroit Bible Institute and the senior pastor of Evangel Ministries in Detroit, Michigan.
