Christopher Bradley-Hole won a coveted Gold Medal and the Best Garden award for his innovative modern garden at the 1997 Chelsea Flower Show and was elected to the council of the Society of Garden Designers in the same year. Christopher's background in modern architecture - he qualified as an architect in 1976 - is complemented by his post-graduate study of the conservation of historic gardens and landscapes. Christopher contributes regularly to Country Life, the Daily Telegraph and Gardens Illustrated, and House and Garden is currently running a series of his articles on garden design. He lives in Barnes, south-west London.
