Julie Dao (www.juliedao.com) was born in Upstate New York and is a proud Vietnamese American. In college, she studied medicine but discovered that blood and needles were her kryptonite. She worked in science journalism and research during the day and authored books about strong women who were not afraid to battle for their aspirations at night, which pushed her to pursue her dream of being a published author.
