The Misanthrope by Moliere
Moliere's most-admired comedy of manners, about a man whose quickness to criticise the flaws in others, and in himself, leads him into deep trouble. In the Nick Hern Books Drama Classics series.
Jean-Baptiste Poquelin (1622–1673), known by his stage name Molière, was a French playwright and actor who is considered to be one of the greatest masters of comedy in Western literature.
