He has also been a successful restaurateur, and has used the insight this has given him into how people choose red wine to compile this guide. Simon Woods is a freelance wine journalist and co-author of the Which? Wine Guide, which won the Rose Award at the 1997 Prix du Champagne Lanson. He writes regularly for WINE magazine and has appeared on radio and television.
