Penelope Latey has a background in both classical and modern dance and has many years' experience in the Pilates Method, both as a dancer and for rehabilitation. She has been practising the Pilates Method for over twenty-two years and teaching it for twenty, with a successful Studio in St Leonards, Sydney. She has studied the method in London and America as well as in Australia, has been involved in training Pilates teachers for ten years and is an examiner for the Australian Pilates Method Association, for which she was the inaugural President. As well as running her busy practice and presenting professional workshops and lectures, she is also the Course Coordinator at UTS in the Pilates Method Instructor's graduate certificate.
