Malcolm Payne is the director of psychosocial and spiritual care at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In London, there is a hospice named Christopher's Hospice. In the United Kingdom, he is an emeritus professor at Manchester Metropolitan University. He has substantial experience in international social work, having led and worked on initiatives in Russia, China, and Eastern Europe to advance social work and social policy. In addition to the best-selling Modern Social Work Theory and Collaboration in Multiprofessional Care, he has written ten volumes and 250 shorter articles that have been published in 13 languages. He's also a co-author of Social Work in Palliative and End-of-Life Care.
