The Modernized O'Kelly Sicilian by Jan Jan Boekelman

·        Jan Boekelman has produced you with a playable repertoire out of a somewhat sideline Opening, which nobody dared to touch to make it into an entire repertoire. ·       Try to expand your knowledge in the 3.c3 variation and go beyond the book's content ·        Deepen your knowledge in 3.c4 variation and do not play it before you know it well ·        Finally, follow the very strong GM Vladislav Artemiev, who has had a relatively successful run with this opening in rapid online events.
Jan Boekelman is a Dutch chess enthusiast and theorist. In his younger years he participated in the Dutch Youth Championships, the Open Dutch Championships and he played a number of years in a team  in the Dutch national league. In those years he wrote theoretical articles for the New in Chess magazine and its predecessor Schaakbulletin. After a long stay outside the Netherlands, Jan has picked up chess again. He now focuses mainly on opening analyses. This is his third book for Thinkers Publishing, his first being the most acclaimed "Modernized King's Indian - Averbakh Variation" and the award winning opening book "Beat the Dutch Defense" of 2022.
